Every day, all year.

Daily D.
All year.
Zero fuss.

From October to March, UK sunshine isn’t strong enough for your skin to make vitamin D. The rest of the year, plenty of us still don’t get enough sun: indoors all day, covered up, or with darker skin. The NHS suggests 10 micrograms a day. One sachet has exactly that, in a glass of pineapple and grapefruit you actually look forward to.

  • Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system
  • Vitamin D helps maintain normal bones and muscle function
  • Vitamin C contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue
  • Vitamin C, zinc and selenium contribute to the normal function of the immune system

The NHS suggests everyone considers 10µg of vitamin D a day from October to March, and some people all year. One sachet a day keeps it simple.

Nutrition from Spruce’s published label, per sachet with 300ml water. NHS guidance on vitamin D checked 21 October 2026.

Less wondering. More water.

A few things,
cleared up.

The little details, before your first daily D.

How much vitamin D do I need?

The NHS suggests 10 micrograms of vitamin D a day. One Spruce sachet contains exactly 10µg.

Should I take vitamin D all year round?

The NHS suggests everyone in the UK considers 10µg a day from October to March, when sunlight isn’t strong enough for the body to make vitamin D. It suggests taking it all year round if you’re not often outdoors, usually wear clothes that cover most of your skin, or have dark skin. Plenty of people simply keep one sachet a day as a year-round habit: 10µg is well within the NHS’s 100µg daily upper limit for adults.

Is it the same as taking a vitamin D tablet?

It gives you the same 10µg of vitamin D3 as a typical daily tablet, in a drink instead of a capsule. It also adds vitamin C, zinc and selenium, and a glass of water.

Can I take it alongside other supplements?

Usually, yes, but keep an eye on your total intake. The NHS advises adults not to take more than 100 micrograms of vitamin D a day. If you already take a vitamin D supplement or a multivitamin, check the labels or ask a pharmacist.

When’s the best time to drink it?

Whenever suits your routine. Most people find it easiest as their first glass of the day, so it becomes a habit.

Does it contain sugar?

No. It’s sugar free and sweetened with stevia, with 5kcal per sachet.

Can children have it?

The NRVs on the label are based on adults. Children’s vitamin D needs are different, so check with your GP or pharmacist before giving it to children.

What if I’m pregnant or taking medication?

Ask your GP, midwife or pharmacist before adding vitamins if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a health condition.
